A suburb north of Buffalo, NY.
The name was passed down from local indians and means "swift waters" referencing the mighty Niagara river which provides the border between the US and Canada. Tonawanda is home to the historic Erie Canal and just south of a natural wonder of the world, Niagara Falls. These early advantages made Tonawanda quite the
boom town until steam and railroads made the Erie Canal obsolete.
People there are a mix of yuppie and white trash. They are hardcore Americans despite being from New York and has a high military presence. Tonawanda prides itself in being the least ethnically
diverse city in Western New York, making it an ideal destination for the regions conservatives.
not to be confused with
Kenmore, Tonawanda has three distinct regions:
North Tonawanda(NT, the most racist little town in Western New York) the City of Tonawanda which does nothing but guard the canal and stalk drunk drivers leaving Crazy Jakes, and just regular Tonawanda.
