Acronym for:
Get After Their Asses
Originally coined by the Legendary Erk Russell, former Head Coach for the
Georgia Southern Eagles back in the eighties. Promoted aggressiveness in pursuing victory over the opposing team. Falsely fans of the University of Georgia Bulldogs continually attempt to claim ownership of this term due to his time there as defensive coordinator. However, despite his attempts to use it with them, they never adopted the term until long after his success at Georgia Southern in an attempt at
revisionist history. It did not gain a life of it's own until he included it as one of the many traditions he started at
GSU that continue to this day.
